Martha Louise Wilson, age 71 of Chipley, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Martha was born on March 11, 1954 in Opp, Alabama to the late Clant Johnson and Mabel Johnson of Alabama and was the baby of 6 children. Martha’s greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through them. She will be remembered for the love and care she gave so freely to her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her loving husband of 50 years: Jimmy Wilson SR.; two brothers: Maurice Johnson, Horace Ronnie Johnson of Lake City, Florida; sister: Mary Sue Johnson Ward of Chipley, Florida.
She is survived by her daughter: Tanya Wilson Wheeler of Chipley, Florida; son: Jimmy Wilson Jr. (Stephanie) of Chipley, Florida; grandchildren: Mason Wheeler, Aiden Wheeler, Sawyer Wilson (Amy), Keygan Wilson (Britten); great grandchildren: Drake Ray Wilson; sister: Glenda Floyd, Shirley Clark (Bobby). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her faithful dog Benji.
A receiving of friends will be held 5-7 PM Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Obert Funeral Home Chapel (731 Kirkland Road Chipley, FL). Obert Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Crematory of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice in her honor.
