Tropical Storm Jerry is expected to pass near or to the northeast of the northern Leeward Islands later today into tonight. Gradual strengthening is forecast and Jerry could become a hurricane by late Friday into Saturday as it turns to the north.
𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜:
Tropical Storm Priscilla is expected to move parallel to the coast of Baja California Sur through today and remain offshore. Tropical Storm conditions along the coastline are possible and interests there should monitor the progress. Moisture associated with Priscilla will lead to heavy rainfall and a flash flood risk in the southwestern United States through the weekend. Swells generated are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions.
Tropical Depression Seventeen-E has formed near southern Mexico. The system is expected to produce heavy rainfall along portions of the southern and southwestern coasts of Mexico which could lead to localized flooding.
