As construction started on the new White House ballroom in the East Wing on Monday, liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left began to lose their minds. Multiple left-wing politicians, pundits, journalists, influencers, and other social media personalities expressed dismay and righteous indignation over the president of the United States renovating his residence. In typical fashion, they went apoplectic on social media about the construction, recycling their usual hysterics and doomsday prognostications. As such, it’s time we introduce the latest liberal, Democrat, left-wing psychosis: White House ballroom construction derangement syndrome.
White House ballroom construction derangement syndrome shall henceforth be known as the condition predicated on an irrational and overly emotional response to the president renovating an 80-year-old section of the White House to create a luxurious new ballroom, using private contributions to fund the changes. The Democratic response to this has been altogether absurd, easily rivaling anything the Left has been outraged over regarding Trump. It’s been so over the top that the only thing seemingly missing was assertions that building the ballroom was fascist, Nazi, or something Adolf Hitler would do.
The renovations have been labeled everything from “destroying history” to “an abuse of power.” Their rants have just become absurd tantrums rooted in envy and jealousy. Trump should hand out pearls to Democrats for Halloween to ensure they have plenty in stock for all of their clutching.
Consider these unhinged hysterics by Democrats over renovations to the White House.
Multiple-time failed presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, said, “It’s not his house. It’s your house. And he’s destroying it.”
This is not only overreactive and dishonest but also hypocritical, given that the Clinton administration renovated the White House when she was first lady. It wasn’t to the extent of adding a ballroom, but, like Trump’s construction, it was also funded by contributions and donations.
Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) posted on X that Trump was destroying the White House.
“Donald Trump doesn’t want you to see this picture,” Newsom posted. “He’s literally destroying the White House.”
