Sharon was born on April 10, 1963 in Bonifay, Florida to Leroy Land and Shirley Jernigan. A lifelong resident of the panhandle, Sharon found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved traveling, spending precious time with her children and grandchildren, and sharing her warmth through baking. Her greatest delight came during the Christmas season, when she filled her home with beautiful decorations, laughter, and love as she celebrated the birth of her Savior Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 34 years Michael W. Farmer of Bonifay, FL; mother and stepfather: Shirley Ann Jernigan and Donald Jernigan of Bonifay, FL; father: Leroy Land of Bonifay, FL.
Sharon is survived by her daughter: Alesha Griffin and husband Wesley Griffin of Chipley, FL; sons: Brandon Farmer and wife Lindsey Farmer of Bonifay, FL, Michael Farmer Jr. of Bonifay, FL; sister: Donna Land of Panama City Beach, FL; brothers: Jeff Land of Bonifay, FL, Mark Land of Bonifay, FL; grandchildren: Rayce Griffin, Brayden Farmer, Paisley Farmer, Kimberly Smith, Kelly Sutton; nephews: Tyler Land, Zac Land, Austin Land, Kendall Land, Jordan Land; many great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 4 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida with Bro. Gary Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
