Earlier today, investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with law enforcement in Alabama, took Landon Epley into custody in Geneva, Alabama.
Investigators have since located several of the stolen firearms hidden in a wooded area in Westville and are currently searching an area in Walton County for additional weapons.
HCSO was also contacted by a citizen who reported purchasing a firearm that he believed to be one of the stolen guns. The individual fully cooperated with law enforcement, and the firearm was recovered.
The investigation remains active, and additional arrests and recoveries are anticipated.
