On November 6, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 79 in Esto for an expired tag. The driver of the vehicle was found to be operating without a valid driver’s license.
During the stop, a passenger, identified as Katrina Thomas, was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. While conducting a probable cause search, the deputy located a meth pipe and observed Thomas remove a container from her pocket, which contained methamphetamine residue.
When asked if she had anything else on her person, Thomas admitted to having “a little bit of meth” and voluntarily handed it over.
Thomas was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
