Over the past several weeks, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints regarding local vape shops and convenience stores selling products such as Kratom and THC gummies to underage individuals.
In response, the HCSO Special Investigations Division (SID) conducted an undercover operation in which an underage operative attempted to purchase these items from all establishments in Holmes County known to sell them.
During the operation, two stores located in Bonifay — the Shell gas station near I-10 and the Exxon on Highway 90 — illegally sold these products to the underage individual. Investigators identified the clerks responsible for the sales as Pulkumar Sevak and Raktul Siddhya. Both will be facing charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Selling Products to a Prohibited Person Under the Legal Age.
“While the sale of these products may be legal to adults under Florida law, it remains unlawful to sell them to anyone underage,” stated Sheriff Tate. “The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting the youth of our community and will continue enforcement efforts to ensure businesses follow the law.”
