On September 2, 2016, Hurricane Hermine made landfall southeast of Tallahassee, Florida, as a Category 1 with winds of 80 mph.
The storm was the first hurricane to make landfall in the state since Wilma in 2005. Five fatalities were associated with the hurricane.
