Alice “Marie” Easterling, 82 of Vernon, Florida went home to be with the Lord on May 16, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was born on July 16, 1942 in Key West, Florida to Marvin and Alice Sweeting. A devoted member of Live Oak Baptist Church, she had been a resident of the Washington County since 1960 coming from Tallahassee, Florida. Marie loved her grandchildren unconditionally and cherished her beloved dog, Mae Mae. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Guy Tillon Easterling Sr.; brother: Marvin Emile Sweeting.
She is survived by her sons: Guy Tillon Easterling Jr. (Shannon), RD Easterling (Norma Jean), Monroe Frank Easterling (Tammy); daughter: Virginia Lynn Wells (Norman); grandchildren: Ashlee Hayes (Zeke), Brooke Fleck (Stevie), Monroe Frank Easterling III (Katie), Leanna Easterling, Dolly Easterling (Mazeigh), Andy Easterling (Makayla), Autum Berry (Austin), Chay Wells; 9 great-grandchildren.
Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Live Oak Baptist Church in New Hope, Florida with Bro. Tim Lanham officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Methodist Cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
