Anita Fay Taylor, 70 of Panama City, Florida, Passes on January 9, 2026, at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay

Anita Fay Taylor, age 70, of Panama City, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2026, at Ascension Sacred Heart Bay, surrounded by her loving family.

Anita was born on July 6, 1955, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late John Henry Hill and Alma Jean (Knuckles) Hill. She attended Wausau Pentecostal Holiness Church when her health allowed and was of the Christian faith.

Anita loved the outdoors, especially spending time tending to her rose and vegetable gardens, and she greatly enjoyed fishing. She also had a fondness for good Mexican food and her famous big margaritas. Above all else, Anita loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Stubbs Jr.; her baby brother, Johnny Mac Hill; her sister, Patricia Phipps; and her stepson, Corey Stubbs.

She is survived by her two daughters, Frances Mendoza (Diego) of Fountain, Florida, and Angela Steverson (Tim) of Bonifay, Florida; her son, Norman Taylor of Panama City, Florida; her brother, Mark Hill of Bono, Arkansas; her sisters, Ruthie Brooks of Bono, Arkansas, and Karen Gosa of Truman, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marvin Grier officiating. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
