On January 16, 2026, Bonifay Police Department Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 79 and Highway 90. The driver was identified as Robert Garvine.
During the stop, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle side pocket, a small blue zipper baggy with a clear pipe that had a crystal residue with burnt marks, a torch lighter, and a red clear plastic grinder were found. Inside the red clear plastic grinder was a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. Garvine was then transported to the Holmes County Jail.
Garvine was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
