Bonnie Sue Sloan, 86 of Chipley, Florida Passes on October 3, 2025

Bonnie Sue Sloan, 86 of Chipley, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

Bonnie was born on October 13, 1938, to Lewis and Mittie Tew. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle and a faithful member of Grace Assembly in Chipley, Florida. Bonnie retired after many years of service to AT&T. Bonnie enjoyed spending her time crocheting. She was a member of the Historical Society and loved being a part of Find a Grave. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lewis and Mittie Tew; husband: Charles Henry Sloan; brother: Millard Tew; sisters: Betty Dolan, Mildred Blount, Marilyn Tew, Evelena Register; son in law: Benjamin Glass who loved her dearly. 

She is survived by her sons: Greg K. Sloan (Phyllis) of Chipley, FL, Teron D. Sloan of North Carolina; daughters: Sherrie Sloan Glass of Crestview, FL, Tonya Sloan Lee of (Steve) of Dothan, AL; brother: Larry Tew of Chipley, FL; sister: Patricia Herring of Panama City, Florida; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. 

The family would like to thank Emerald Coast Hospice and the caregivers employed by Panhandle Angels for all the compassionate and loving care provided to her during her last few months. 

Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at Grace Assembly in Chipley, Florida with Bro. Dallas Pettis officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.  

The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
