The City of DeFuniak Springs will be conducting survey work using drones as part of a planned 9-mile watermain replacement project.
Where: Public Road rights-of-way along the project corridor
When:
• General survey work: December 2025 – April 2026
• Drone activity: Monday, January 26 – Friday, February 20, 2026
Drone flights will be brief, low-altitude, and limited to roadways and adjacent rights-of-way. No surveillance is being conducted, and efforts will be made to avoid private property.
You may see survey crews, marked vehicles, and drone activity during this time. Minor, temporary traffic impacts may occur and will be kept to a minimum.
