Debbie D. McCroan, 71 of Marianna, Florida went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2026.
Debbie was born on January 4, 1955, in Fort Pierce, Florida, to Loyce and Sue Ditty. She retired from Sunland in Marianna, Florida, and retired from Florida State Hospital after working 28 years. Debbie loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. In the time she wasn’t in the outdoors, she spent her time doing crafts, especially crocheting. She enjoyed keeping her great-grandbabies and great-great-niece with her and her husband. Debbie was a friend to everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Loyce and Sue Ditty.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years: William Otis McCroan of Marianna, FL; sons: Marion Otis McCroan (Brenda) of Marianna, FL, William Tony McCroan of Marianna,FL; sister: Elaine Ditty Oestrike of Bascom, FL; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren: Quinton and Oakland Murphy; great-great niece: Blakleigh Prurvis;special niece: Melissa Owens (Bryan); special aunt: Bernice McDaniel of Bascom, FL; special cousins: Vickie Fowler (Bobby) of Bascom, FL, Kim Shouppe (Jeff) of Ocala, FL; sister in law: Jackie McCroan.
Service will be held 11 AM Monday July 6, 2026 at Cypress Baptist Church in Cypress, Florida with Bro. Steve Benefield and Bro. Gary Reinbacker officiating. Interment will follow in a private family cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
