Dorothy Lavern Hadden, 77 of Chipley, passed away on January 28, 2025, at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, Florida.
Dorothy was born on April 11, 1947 in Golconda, Illinois to Chester and June Elizabeth Gaskins. After numerous trips to the Gulf Coast, Dorothy made the Florida Panhandle her home in 1990, coming from Golconda, Illinois.
She loved spending time gardening, and her green thumb was evident throughout her home, propagating numerous plants to sell and gift to her family and friends. Dorothy also enjoyed perusing yard sales whenever the opportunity presented itself.
She will be remembered for the unconditional love she gave her children and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two sons: Danny Woods (Becky) of Grand Rivers, Kentucky, Jason Woods of Chipley, Florida; one daughter: Dawn Johnson (Brad) of Milton, Florida; one granddaughter: Charley.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
