Edmond Louis Sirois Jr, 90, of Chipley, Fl. passed away on February 5, 2026.
Edmond “Lou” Sirois was born on September 6, 1935, in Waterberry, Connecticut, to Edmond and Beatrice Sirois. Master Sergeant Sirois proudly served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Throughout his distinguished military career, he completed multiple combat tours in Vietnam serving with dedication, courage, and honor. His service reflected a lifelong commitment to duty and to his fellow Marines. Upon retiring from the military, Lou continued his career at Sikorsky as a Blackhawk Engineer, where he continued to work until his second retirement. His legacy of service and sacrifice will not be forgotten. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards, reading, and assembling patriotic puzzles, many of which he thoughtfully gifted to local police departments, fire stations, and military offices. His generosity, patriotism, and quiet acts of kindness touched many lives and will be fondly remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond and Beatrice Sirois; his wife, Gisele Sirois; and his sisters, Simone LaFrance and Gabrielle “Lorraine” Mastrianni.
He is survived by his children: Timothy Sirois (Alonna) of Pensacola, Fl; David Sirois of Chipley, Fl; Louis Sirois (Susan) of Texas; Joseph Sirois (Renee) of Newport News, VA; and Cheryl Brown (the late Steve) of Milton, Fl. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and numerous great‑grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 21 from 10 to 11AM at Obert Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice, Florida, with Dr. Richard Mobley, Pastor, officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, is entrusted with the arrangements.
