Crews are working to widen a 3.5-mile segment of State Road (S.R.) 77, between Rogers Road and Cane Mill Road in Wausau.
In this photo, you can see the newly cleared and graded area where additional lanes will be built. Crews have excavated and compacted the base layer of soil that will form the foundation for the future pavement.
A reminder that the speed limit on S.R. 77 is reduced to 45 mph. Please be alert for construction workers, vehicles, and equipment. The project is estimated for completion in early 2028.
