Work continues in the heart of Wausau on the State Road 77 widening project, between Rogers Road and Cane Mill Road in Washington County.
In this photo, you can see progress taking shape in the downtown area of the project. Underground and above ground utilities have been relocated from the construction zone, along with the existing concrete curbs and sidewalks.
This work makes room for the additional lanes that will add capacity and expand mobility throughout the Town of Wausau.
Completion of the 3.5-mile segment of the S.R. 77 widening project is scheduled for completion in early 2028.
