Work continues to widen a 3.5-mile segment of State Road (S.R.) 77, between Rogers Road and Cane Mill Road in Washington County.
Crews are currently preparing this stretch of roadway for an upcoming traffic switch. In this area, workers are grading and shaping the new roadway, improving drainage, and building the foundation needed to safely shift traffic onto the newly constructed lanes.
These steps help ensure a smooth transition and keep drivers moving safely as construction continues.
This work is part of the $56 million S.R. 77 Widening project that is underway from Rodgers Road to Cane Mill Road, in Wausau. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2028.
