Helen Mixon Gibson, age 69, of Graceville, Florida passed away March 11, 2020 at her home. She was born October 14, 1950 in Bonifay, Florida to the late William ‘Alex’ Alexander Mixon and Florine Leavins Mixon. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Royce Mixon and Ralph Lois Mixon.
Helen is survived by her husband, Edward D. Gibson of Graceville, FL; two daughters, Donna L. Gipson of Graceville, FL and Dana F. Gibson of Graceville, FL; two grandchildren, Mara Anderson and Jared Anderson both of Graceville, FL; former son-in-law, Lamar Anderson of Bonifay, FL; two sisters, Ellen Carnley and husband Maxie of Bonifay, FL and Corene Ratliff and Ronald of Bonifay, FL; four brothers, Elmer Mixon and wife Joan of Donaldsonville, GA, Delmer Mixon and wife Diane of Bonifay, FL, Edward Mixon and wife Delia of Bonifay, FL and Delbert Mixon and wife Bonnie of Bonifay, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2020 in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Boroughs officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
