On September 19, 2025, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 2 for traffic-related infractions. The driver was identified as Eric Burk, of Geneva, Alabama.
A computer check revealed that Burk had active out-of-state warrants and a suspended driver’s license. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a black bag containing methamphetamine, along with drug paraphernalia.
Burk was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Driving While License Suspended
No Vehicle Registration
He was transported to the Holmes County Jail to await first appearance.
