On February 26, 2026, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies approached a vehicle that had been parked at a convenience store for an extended period of time.
Deputies made contact with the occupants, identified as Heather Bushy and Holly Hurst. A warrants check revealed that Hurst had active warrants out of Okaloosa County. During a search of Hurst’s purse incident to arrest, deputies located methamphetamine inside the purse.
Bushy advised deputies that she also had methamphetamine on her person and voluntarily removed the substance from her bra.
