On February 16, 2026, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to a camper located on Curry Ferry Road in reference to information received regarding illegal drug activity.
Upon arrival, investigators made contact with Jason Brown and advised him of the reason for their presence. Brown led investigators to methamphetamine located inside the camper. A subsequent search of the camper revealed additional methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Emily Pettis was also located inside the camper asleep on a couch. A black container found inside Pettis’s purse was determined to contain methamphetamine.
Both Brown and Pettis were taken into custody. Jason Brown was charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Emily Pettis was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.
