A routine traffic stop near Leonia quickly escalated when a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy pulled over a vehicle for driving without a tag.
The driver, identified as Jimmie Clelland, was engaged in conversation with the deputy when probable cause to search the vehicle was established. That search turned up a not-so-lucky stash: marijuana, a loaded meth pipe, and crushed-up Lortab.
When confronted, Clelland took ownership of the illegal substances and was promptly arrested. He now faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Lortab.
