Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrests Johnny Monk and Dennis Hatfield for Methamphetamine, Etc.

On April 6, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed Johnny Monk operating a motor vehicle at the Hamilton Store. It was determined that Monk did not possess a valid driver’s license.

Shortly after, the vehicle left the store with a different driver, identified as Dennis Hatfield. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, and K9 Paycheck was deployed for a free-air sniff. K9 Paycheck alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a plastic baggie containing methamphetamine in the center console. Neither Monk nor Hatfield claimed ownership of the narcotics, resulting in both being placed under arrest.

Johnny Monk was charged with:

Possession of methamphetamine

Driving while license suspended

Dennis Hatfield was charged with:

Possession of methamphetamine
