On July 31, 2025, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Mt. Pleasant Road in reference to ongoing narcotics activity, specifically the sale of methamphetamine from the location.
Upon arrival, deputies secured the occupants and conducted a search of the residence. Inside a kitchen cabinet, deputies located a bottle containing over 100 grams of suspected meth oil. Additional items found throughout the home included drug paraphernalia and multiple baggies containing usable amounts of methamphetamine.
As a result, the following individuals were arrested and charged:
Melvin Murchinson – Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine
Angela Mott – Sale of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device
Melissa Freeman – Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
