On July 16, 2026, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies attempted to stop a vehicle on Bonifay Gritney Road that was traveling without a license plate. The vehicle initially attempted to evade deputies before pulling into a driveway.
As deputies approached the vehicle, they observed the occupants lying down inside in an apparent attempt to avoid detection. The driver was identified as Quincy Paul.
While speaking with deputies, Paul admitted there were illegal drugs inside the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted, and deputies located a plastic bag containing more than 10 grams of methamphetamine in the center console. Deputies also recovered another bag containing cocaine, a small amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Paul admitted that the illegal drugs located inside the vehicle belonged to him.
