The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) has arrested Terron Patrick on charges of grand theft and contracting without a license.
In October 2025, HCSO investigators received a complaint from a homeowner who reported paying Patrick over $40,000 to make repairs to his home following recent tornado damage. According to the complaint, Patrick accepted the payment but failed to show up to perform the agreed-upon work and refused further contact with the homeowner.
During the investigation, investigators discovered that Patrick did not possess a valid contractor’s license to perform the repairs.
As a result of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained. Patrick was taken into custody on January 7, 2026, and charged with grand theft and contracting without a license.
The investigation remains ongoing.
