Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Bonifay Police Department have arrested and charged George Cadenhead with Sexual Battery on a Child Under the Age of 12.
The investigation began after a victim disclosed to officers with the Bonifay Police Department that she had been sexually abused when she was approximately 3 years old.
During the course of the investigation, another victim also disclosed an incident in which she was molested by Cadenhead in Bonifay.
The Bonifay Police Department forwarded information regarding the incident that occurred within the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction to HCSO investigators.
During the investigation, HCSO investigators conducted an interview with Cadenhead. During that interview, Cadenhead admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with the victim, corroborating the victim’s account of the abuse.
As a result of the investigation, Cadenhead was arrested and charged by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office with Sexual Battery on a Child Under the Age of 12.
The Bonifay Police Department also charged Cadenhead with Sexual Molestation on a Child in connection with its investigation.
Both agencies conducted complementary investigations, resulting in separate charges against Cadenhead for sexual battery on a child under the age of 12.
This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of local law enforcement agencies in Holmes County to work together in seeking justice for victims.
