On July 10, 2025, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a black Yukon on Bonifay Gritney Road due to no tail lights. The driver refused to stop, prompting a pursuit.
The suspect turned onto Hathaway Mill Road and then onto Old Mill Road, nearly striking another vehicle in the process. The pursuit ended when the suspect failed to negotiate a curve, drove into the woods, and fled on foot.
Deputies quickly located and identified the suspect as Michael Hall. Hall was arrested and is facing charges of reckless driving and fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement.
