Imogene Daffern, age 74, of Chipley, FL passed away on October 25, 2025 at the Chipola Health & Rehabilitation Center in Marianna, FL.
Imogene was born on June 19, 1951 in Coalgate, Oklahoma. During elementary school in Centrahoma, Oklahoma, Imogene met her future husband, Danny Daffern. Imogene and Danny eventually settled in Chipley, FL in August of 2023 to be closer to family. In her free time, Imogene enjoyed dancing with Danny and teaching western swing, as well as playing solitaire, cooking and spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Danny Daffern, her parents; brothers and sisters, Fern Dempsey, Buck Vineyard, Dale Vineyard and Mary Daniel.
Imogene is survived by her son, Daniel “Bud” Daffern and wife, Christy; daughters, Shannon Stevens and husband, Billy, Shelly Taylor and husband, Brandon; and daughter-in-law, Angie Shelton; grandchildren, Whitney, Jessica, Taylor, Courtney, Dylan, Dalton, Brynan, Seth, Chris and Christina; along with numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Vineyard and sisters, Betty Nelson and Shirley Pickens.
