On Saturday, February 1, at approximately 5:45 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible burglary in progress. The victim stated that she saw three suspects removing items from the unoccupied house at her property on Rocky Creek Road.
A Sneads Police Officer attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle and the suspects attempted to flee on foot. One of the suspects was immediately apprehended.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office K9 Tracking Unit was called to the scene and located the other two suspects a short time later.
Approximately $1800 worth of items were located and returned to the victim.
Allen Godfrey, Ashley Haney, and Rolanda Ratliff are being charged with Burglary of an Unoccupied Dwelling and Grand Theft.
