On Sunday, April 20, 2025, around 9 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) received information that a wanted person, Christopher Lewis Baron, was reportedly staying in a tent in Jackson County.
Baron had active warrants out of Calhoun County for False Imprisonment, Shooting into or Throwing Deadly Missiles into a Dwelling / Vehicle, Battery, and Tampering with or Harassing a Witness, Victim, or Informant.
On April 21, around 12:30 a.m., JCSO Deputies and Investigators responded to an address in the Compass Lake in the Hills community where Baron was reportedly staying.
Baron was located inside a tent on the property, where he was quickly taken into custody.
Baron was arrested and is awaiting extradition back to Calhoun County to face charges.
