On Sunday, April 6, 2025, around 4 a.m., Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were patrolling the area of Highway 90 and Highway 71 when they saw a vehicle with only one operable taillight. When deputies made contact with the driver, Dexter Lee Dutil, he told them he did not possess a valid driver’s license.
Deputies were informed by JCSO dispatch that Dutil had previously been convicted of driving with no valid driver’s license. They also discovered that Dutil is currently on probation for Sale, Manufacture, and Deliver Methamphetamine until 2029.
After arresting Dutil for driving without a valid license, deputies located multiple items of drug paraphernalia in his vehicle and on his person, which tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Dutil is being charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle with No Driver’s License, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
