A Marianna man is behind bars following an investigation that uncovered child sexual abuse material on a cellular device.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested John Wilson, who was already on sex offender probation at the time of the investigation. Investigators identified images and videos depicting young children. Evidence confirmed Wilson was the primary user of the device.
John Wilson has been charged with:
• Fifteen (15) counts of Possession of Child Pornography
• One (1) count of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device
Wilson was taken into custody without incident.
Sheriff Donnie Edenfield stated, “Cases like this are deeply concerning and will not be tolerated. We are committed to protecting children in our community and will hold those responsible fully accountable.”

During first appearance, Wilson was issued a $385,000 bond.
