At approximately 7:06 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that three Hispanic males fled on foot from a traffic stop on Hwy 73 north and requested assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO). JCSO deputies, the K9 Tracking Team, and the Aviation Unit responded to assist.

Gonzalo was quickly apprehended without incident. Shortly thereafter, the K9 Tracking Team located and took the second subject, Sergio Valdemar Quijada Mejia (DOB: 11/14/1994), into custody.
The third subject, Angel Isaac Sanabria Canas (DOB: 05/18/2002), was not located and may still be in the wooded area.
