Jerry T Skinner, 68 of Westville Florida Passes on June 3, 2026

Jerry T Skinner of Westville FL passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 16th, 1958, in Gevena, AL.

Jerry lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of country living. He found his greatest happiness outdoors, whether tending to his garden, working on his tractors, or enjoying the peace and beauty of rural life. His garden was a source of pride, reflecting the patience, care, and dedication he brought to everything he did.

A lifelong lover of the countryside, Jerry could often be found on a tractor, maintaining his property or helping a neighbor in need. He valued honest work, cherished time spent with family and friends, and passed along lessons of perseverance, humility, and respect for the land. Jerry was a source of knowledge and a beloved mentor to many people.

For many years, Jerry worked in road construction, a career he took great pride in. Throughout his working life, he was employed with Couch, C.W. Roberts, and Roberts & Roberts, where he earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to getting the job done right. He helped build and improve roads that served countless communities, leaving a lasting impact through his work.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and the wisdom he shared with those fortunate enough to know him.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Sharon Skinner. His brother Thomas Skinner and his wife Jennifer Skinner. Stepson James Jarrard and daughter in law Andrea Jarrard. Granddaughters Holly Jarrard and Eva Jarrard. Grandaughter Jenna Sims and her husband Anthony “G” Sims. As well as many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Clyde Skinner and mother Lonie Skinner. As well as his brother Clyde “John” Skinner.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, June 6th, 2026, in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at Peel Funeral Home.
