Jimmie Kathryn Lombardo, age 79 of Chipley, FL passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Jimmie was born on December 6th, 1945 in Oneonta, AL to the late Jim and Maggie (Jones) Messer. She was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Aunt, and cherished friend to many.
She dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, RHO Chapter in Birmingham, AL. She retired from the Social Security Administration. She then served her community as a registered nurse and paramedic at Northwest Florida community Hospital and Washington county EMS. Even though she had retired, it was important to her to keep her nursing license active and had just finished her certification this year. Her compassion and commitment to helping others defined her career and personal life.
She was an active member of CrossPoint Church in Ponce de Leon and was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Bonifay.
Her kindness, unwavering faith, and generosity were an inspiration to all who knew her. She truly loved Jesus, her husband of almost 24 years, her family, and friends, and will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Leah Bates, Elizabeth Ashley and one granddaughter, Maggie Gourley.
She is survived by her loving husband, James “Jim” Lombardo of Chipley, FL, six daughters, Jennifer Losee and husband Shannon, Cassandra Lombardo, Lori Lombardo Rodriguez and husband Boi, Maggie Gengler and husband Stacy, Kimberly Brandon and husband Jonathan, Robin McGowan, two sons, Eric Doyle and wife Belinda, Audie Marsh and wife Brittany, 24 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, niece, Becky Harris, and nephew, Randall Ashley.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Michael Tadlock and Pastor Jean Tippit will be officiating the services.
