Today we are saddened to announce the passing of Judge Perry E. Wells. Judge Wells served as Chairman of the Panhandle Watermelon Festival for 30 years, beginning in 1976.
He has remained an integral part of our festival for almost 50 years, and he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
