Lendell Barrentine Thomas, age 90, was born on December 28, 1935, to Coy and Claudia Barrentine. She peacefully departed this world on April 11, 2026, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Lendell was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was marked by her deep love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Max Thomas, and brother Wendell Barrentine.
She is survived by her three children: Alonda Gail Wood (Freddy) of Graceville, Stacey Thomas (Denise) of Marianna, and Tracy Thomas (Rita) of Cottondale and a beloved sister, Juanita Barrentine. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Mikeal Thomas of Graceville; Coy Williams (Andrew) of Bonifay; Brandon Thomas (Meagan) of Cottondale; Matthew Lent of Tallahassee; and Max Thomas of Panama City. Her legacy continues through her seven great-grandchildren: Hunter, Nathan, Cole, Paisley, Jaycee, Ryan, and Susie.
She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
Lendell will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, and the unwavering love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service was held at 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at New Hope Assembly of God Cemetery with Bro. Jonathan Fussell officiating and James and Lipford Funeral Home directing.
The time of visitation was in the church at 11 a.m. until time of the service.
