Lucille J. Locke, 88 of Cottondale, Florida passed from this life on July 10, 2026 at Washington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Chipley, Florida.
Lucille was born on April 9, 1938, in Cottondale, Florida, to Thomas A. Jackson and Ada Kittrel. She was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, where she enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially gardening. She also found great joy in making homemade jelly. Lucille will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Thomas and Ada Jackson; sons: Larry Locke, Gene Locke; brothers: Andrew Thomas Jackson, James Kenneth Jackson, Wallace Lamar Jackson; sisters: Lavelle Fox, Lela Mae Bowman, Virginia Tremblay.
She is survived by her son: Michael Locke of Texas; brother: Tommy Ray Jackson of Kynesville, FL; sisters: Sandra Rowe of Cottondale, FL, Donna Tyce of Cottondale, FL; grandchildren: Elizabeth Ward, Jennifer Turner, Crystal Doty; great-grandchildren: Ysabela, Bryan, Vincent, MaKaleigh, McKenna, Autumn.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Crematory in Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
