The Lynn Police Department has arrested Markus A. Brown, aged 35, of Lynn Haven, on charges of Promoting the Sexual Performance of a Child and Resisting an Officer Without Violence.
The arrest follows a report alleging that Brown paid a child to perform sexual acts while he recorded them.
When officers attempted to speak with Brown at his residence, he fled out the back of the home. Upon seeing patrol vehicles, Brown fled again on foot. Officers apprehended him a short distance from his residence. Brown was released from the Department of Corrections in July of 2025 and has lengthy criminal history of violent felonies and drug charges. He will make first appearance today before a local magistrate. The investigation is ongoing.
