The Marianna Police Department would like to notify everyone of the temporary closure of Kelson Avenue. This closure could last for approximately two months due to the redesigning of Kelson Avenue and Smith Street.
The following areas are closed:
Kelson Avenue from Smith Street to Guyton Street
Smith Street from Liddon Street to Kelson Avenue
Carters Mill Road from Kelson Avenue to 2nd Avenue
Portion of Kelson Avenue, West of Smith Street
Both of Jackson Hospital’s entrances are accessible, however, to reach Jackson Hospital, you are urged to utilize Guyton Street and 6th Street.
Due to the closures, motorist are having to find alternate routes to their destinations. The Marianna Police Department encourages motorists to utilize intersections with traffic signals to cross Highway 90, for example, Penn Avenue.
