Mike was born on December 23, 1951, in Marianna, Florida, to Grover Cleveland Suggs and Madine Holley Suggs. A lifelong resident of Washington County and dedicated 43 years of service to the State of Florida, where he worked as a drill rig supervisor. Mike had a deep love for his hometown of Chipley, Florida, and took pride in supporting his community. He enjoyed contributing to children in Florida through his support of the Florida Lottery. Above all, Mike cherished his family. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Myra Suggs; parents: Grover and Madine Suggs.
He is survived by his sons: Jason Suggs (Farrah) of Chipley, FL, Joey “Chop” Suggs of Chipley, FL; sister: Barbara Lowe of Marianna, FL; grandchildren: Blaine Suggs (Emma), Jaycee Suggs, Addyson Suggs, Hadley Suggs, Zoey Suggs.
Service will be held 2 PM Thursday, April 16, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Chipley, Florida with Bro. Mike Orr officiating. Interment will follow in Oakie Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Chipley, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
