National Weather Service Advises Most Tornadic Threat is Over, With Few Isolated Strong Storms and Possible Hail Remaining

Posted on May 10, 2025

Much of the tornadic threat is done with now that warm front has lifted north.

A few isolated strong storms bringing wind gusts and possibly hail can’t be ruled out through the rest of the afternoon.

We’re still expecting a lull and then more activity redevelops tonight. Some of the activity early Sunday and into the morning could be severe bringing a damaging wind gust and/or a tornado.

The heavy rain potential should continue. It’s likely that the Big Bend and south-central Georgia will see higher chances for rain than observed this afternoon.
