One of Our Favorite Recipes- No-Bake Strawberry Cake

This no-bake strawberry cake reminds us of a sheet cake version of a trifle. It’s super simple to prepare and travels to gatherings easy too. Either purchase angel food cake from the store or bake your own. The soft and fluffy cake is the base for this summery dessert. On top, there’s a layer of strawberry cream cheese and whipped topping that’s light, tangy, and sweet. A wonderful no-bake dessert recipe that looks beautiful when served.

Ingredients

  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 packages strawberry glaze
  • 1 package Cool Whip topping, thawed (16 oz)
  • 1 cup strawberry cream cheese
  • 2 angel food cakes, torn into chunks

How To Make no-bake strawberry cake

Step 1

Completely cover the bottom of a 9 1/2 x 11 inch pan with angel food cake chunks.

Step 2

Mix half of the Cool Whip with the cream cheese. Cover the cake with it.

Step 3

Cover cream cheese completely with strawberries. Completely cover strawberries with a thin layer of glaze. (This glaze tends to have a hint of minty flavor and you don’t want it to overpower the other flavors.)

Step 4

Cover the strawberry glaze with remaining whipped topping. Place a few strawberries on top for garnish. Cover and chill at least 4 hours.
