Pamela C. Griggs, 68 of Westville, Florida, passed from this life on May 13, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Pamela life revolved around horses. From bronc riding to western pleasure and reining, to training young horses and upcoming riders, and a proud 4-H leader. Pamela passed her passion and love for the horse world on to the next generation. She was a fierce American patriot, deeply involved with Rolling Thunder, advocating for POWs and veterans.
She believed in standing strong for what’s right and never backing down from a fight—something she did time and again, including beating lung cancer three times. Just a few months ago, she rang the cancer-free bell and told cancer to kiss her ass. Pam was the definition of tough love. If life knocked you down, she’d help you up—but not without telling you exactly where you screwed up, and probably using some very colorful language. Life didn’t make things easy for her, but she never quit.
She pushed forward, every single time. Her love and pride for children as they have navigated their paths in life, she spoke about often.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Martin and Mary Collins; husband: William Griggs Jr.
She is survived by her children: Adam Goddin of Vancouver, Washington (Rachel), Mary Catherine Rogers (Rickie) of Bayou Blue, LA, April Morris (Jimmy) of Molino, FL, Amber Fisher (Clay) of Westville, FL; grandchildren: Eric John Brown Jr. (Heather), Cheyenne Anderson, Domonic Soto, Stormey Rogers, Kirra Soto, Mallie Goddin, Brauck Goddin, Hank Goddin; great grandchildren: Miles Brown, Raleigh Manor, Zane Soto; several extended family members.
Graveside Service will be held 1 PM Monday, May 19, 2025 at Leonia Cemetery in Westville, Florida with Pastor Shane Obert officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
