Patricia Brown Steele was born on January 19, 1965, in Washington County, Florida, to Clarence and Fannie Brown. She was raised in a loving Christian home and accepted Christ at a young age. Patricia’s faith, smile, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her. She will be remembered for her love of family, her warm heart, and her unwavering devotion to God.
Patricia was educated in the Washington County School System. She earned a welding certificate from Washington-Holmes Technical Center, now known as Florida Panhandle Technical College, and became a Certified Nursing Assistant in the healthcare field. Dedicated and compassionate, Patricia also worked within the Washington and Bay County School Systems, where she touched many lives through her service and care.
Patricia was full of life and had a big heart for her family. She loved and encouraged family gatherings, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went. Traveling was one of her greatest pleasures—especially taking cruises and creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Fannie Brown, and her two sisters, Annie Doris Brown and Sandra (Calvin) Carswell.
Patricia’s memory will forever live in the hearts of her loving husband: Larry Steele Sr.; her beloved children: Chaddrick Peterson, Senteria (Lashanda) Steele, and Jalyn Steele & her three bonus children: Larry (Susian) Steele Jr., Latasha Steele, and Icy (Hakim) Brown that she was blessed with through marriage. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.
Her memories will also be cherished by her caring siblings: Cloudie (Beverly) Brown, Clarence (Dayatra) Brown, Lois (Odis) Doyle, Rudolph (Cozetta) Brown, and Milton (Genevelyn) Brown; and by her in-laws whom she loved as brothers and sisters: Eddie Peterson Sr., Howard (Stacy) Steele, Jerry (Kacey) Steele, Johnnie (Delores) Steele, Ricky (Delia) Steele, Craig Steele, John (Sharron) Steele, Mark (Clara) Steele, Michael (Pam) Steele, Betty Steele McClain, Seletha (Mortimer) Silas, and Selina Steele—along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
