Local, state, and federal officials met today to address urgent concerns about Gulf World Marine Park. The meeting brought together representatives from Rep. Neal Dunn, Sen. Jay Trumbull, State Rep. Griff Griffitts, Jr., Bay County, and the City of Panama City Beach.
Officials met to coordinate a multi-agency response to recent reports of animal deaths, facility safety violations, and risks to public health and marine life. Representatives from Gulf World Marine Park were invited to the meeting but declined to attend.
Local, state, and federal authorities are reviewing legal options and regulatory steps to ensure water testing, third-party review, and enhanced oversight of the marine park. Further updates will be shared with the public as progress continues.
