Thomas David Jenkins, age 88, of Vernon, FL passed from this life on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. He was born on November 13, 1936 in Washington County, Florida to the late Simon Peter Jenkins and Mary Henrietta Yates.
He was a man of faith, he loved his family and lived a life of integrity. He loved the Word of God and was full of wisdom.
Thomas David has been a resident of Washington County area most of his life. He is a member of New Bethany Assembly of God at Hinson Crossroads.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Melba Jean Jenkins, second wife Luverne Jenkins, daughter Karen Jean Fishback, sister Mary Louise Hill, brother Henry Edsol Jenkins and wife Judy Jenkins, grandson Chris Huguley, granddaughter Anna Marie Jenkins, and great granddaughter Ava Lanae Drew.
Survivors include, three sons, Thomas Clayton Jenkins and wife Dale, James Gregory Jenkins and wife Judine, Timothy David Jenkins and wife Lounette, two daughters, Sharon Lee Jenkins Barbiaux and husband Jimmy, Mary Elizabeth Jenkins Kittrell, numerous grand children and great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Church located at 2430 Shakey Joe Road, Vernon. Memorial Service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Shane Mason and Rev. Timothy Jenkins officiating. Obert Funeral Home and Whispering Pines Crematory of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
